Gruppo Folcloristico Italiano 'Cuor d'Italia'

The Italian folkloristic group Cuor d'Italia was formed for the sole purpose of sharing the rich tradition of our Italian culture through its dances and songs. The traditional dances of Italy vary from region to region due to the many influences of different cultures over the span of three thousand years. Our goal is to perform, and share with our audiences, these various dances from the different regions of Italy.

History of Cuor d'Italia

Cuor d'Italia
was established in September of 2000 and, since then, it has participated in many cultural activities. It made its debut with the Columbus Day Festa in October, 2000, and continued with performances in various school, church, cultural and International events. We have performed throughout New England, New York, and Virginia.

We continue to participate yearly for the Columbus Day festivities, sharing the stage with visiting dance groups from Italy, and International festivals in local colleges and universities. We were honored to participate in several beneft performances for the earthquake victims of L'Aquila, Italy.
